Rupert House is a happy and high-achieving independent Pre-Prep and Prep School for boys and girls aged 3-11 years. We stand proudly at the heart of the beautiful riverside town of Henley-on-Thames. From the moment that children enter our care they are encouraged to adopt a Growth Mindset learning the values of creativity, respect, courage and resilience that will enable them to stand tall in the world.
At the Heart of Henley
At Rupert House we are fortunate to be surrounded by a wealth of fantastic facilities with which we have built strong ties and collaborations. From the Rowing Club to the Rugby club, the local churches to the Kenton Theatre, the sports centre to the Cricket Club, our provision extends way beyond our school buildings and grounds.

Anti-Bullying Week at Rupert House School
Today we came together as a whole school to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week with a special assembly all about kindness - perfectly timed for World Kindness Day!
We also wore our odd socks in a slightly delayed celebration of Odd Socks Day, celebrating what makes each of us unique and reminding us that it's our differences that make our community so special.
In our Happy Hub, we invited a group of children to reflect on what Anti-Bullying Week means and how we can all be good friends. The children shared ideas to help each other be better friends.
Transforming into friendship wizards, they created a magical Friendship Potion filled with the perfect "ingredients" for kindness and connection:
Being respectful
Being kind
Including others
Helping someone who is hurt

This morning, the Rupert House community came together for our annual Act of Remembrance.
Heads of School, Josie W and George D, reflected on the significance of remembering all those who gave their lives in war and conflict, speaking about the origins of Remembrance Day and the symbolism of the poppy.
The service included readings, poetry, and performances of The Last Post, Reveille and Abide with Me by Mr Lamb, Mr R-G and Ottilie L, as well as a prayer led by Father Jeremy.
We were honoured to be joined once again by Mike Willoughby, who shared his reflections on remembrance, and to hear music from the Senior Voices choir.
The service concluded with the laying of wreaths at the Urn, led by George D and the youngest pupils in the school.
Lest we forget.
