Physical Education and Games
Our Physical Education and Games curriculum aims to promote participation and excellence and to ensure that children enjoy physical activity and understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
All children are given the opportunity to learn the value of playing together as part of a team and to have fun in a wide variety of sports, movement and dance. Our sports department of three is led by an Olympic hockey medalist and supplemented by specialist visiting coaches for rugby, football, athletics and cricket.
Rupert House has its own on-site all weather pitch and gym with an additional games field, netball / tennis courts, running track and pavilion within a short walking distance of the school. All children are taught to swim and, in addition to its own teaching, the school has built strong links with Henley Hawks rugby club and Henley hockey and cricket clubs to deliver the very best sporting education to our pupils. All children in the Prep School represent the School in netball, hockey and cricket matches and have the opportunity to sign up for Cross-Country races.
