At Rupert House, we believe that children reach their full potential when they are healthy and happy. So, our first priority is to provide an environment in which children can thrive. We work continuously to build positive relationships with our pupils, so that we know how best to support their learning. Our ethos here is to develop self-esteem, mutual respect, and a healthy sense of competition in all our pupils. We want children to learn how to be active members of their community, making positive contributions to society from an early age. We are acutely aware that we are helping to develop the citizens of the future.

We see our students consistently achieve well, both in and outside of the classroom and so we’re really confident that our education model really works. Specialist subjects, such as Music, Design Technology, Art, Languages, Sport and Science are introduced in all our settings at the start of Year 3.

We also offer an extensive sports programme using specialist coaches. Pupils can choose to take part in a number of sporting activities such as hockey, cricket, gymnastics, rugby, and tennis. We take part in games, matches and tournaments with many of the other local schools.

We’re proud of our extra-curricular programme, which we believe offers something to nurture the special talent of each and every one of our students. Some of the activities we offer are drama, drumming, gymnastics, jazz dance, ballet, breakdancing, netball, hockey, football, tennis, rugby, athletics, climate change and animation. We know that spending time in the outdoors is so important for physical and mental wellbeing, so we offer forest school activities every week.
