Private Prep School & Nursery Marlow

Our private independent school and nursery near Marlow provides an excellent education for boys and girls aged 3-11.

We believe in offering our students a well-rounded education and that this can only be achieved when children are happy and healthy. That’s why we’re dedicated to first providing a safe and secure environment in which children can thrive. We work hard to build strong, positive relationships with all of our pupils. Developing a strong sense of self-esteem, whilst encouraging both mutual respect and healthy competition, are at the heart of what we do here at Rupert House. We know that children are our future and it’s important to us that they grow into adults who will positively contribute to the world around them. An inclusive environment is central to them reaching their full potential in terms of social and behavioural development.

Our co-educational model really works, and is clearly demonstrated by how highly our students achieve academically and the incredible successes we’ve witnessed in all areas. From the start of Year 3, we begin teaching specialist subjects, such as Music, Science, Art, Sport, Design Technology and Languages.

We have an impressive sports programme, using specialist coaches to teach hockey, rugby, cricket, gymnastics, tennis and more. Students enjoy regular games, matches and tournaments with other local schools and have the opportunity to play against teams with varying abilities.

No matter what your child’s special talent is, we believe there’ll be a club within our extra-curricular offering to meet their needs and allow them to flourish. Our clubs include netball, hockey, jazz dance, ballet, drama, drumming, tennis, football, rugby, breakdancing, athletics, gymnastics and animation. We also believe in the positive impact of being in the outdoors and learning to care for our environment, so have regular trips to our on-site Forest School and schedule outdoor education into our weekly timetable.

Usually, children join us at aged 3 in our nursery and progress right the way through the school until Year 6, when they move on to senior school. However, we occasionally have spaces in other year groups, so it’s worth checking with our registrar if you’d like your child to join us as a mid-year transfer.
