Eco council meets with Greener Henley

On Wednesday, we held the first meeting of our newly founded Eco Council.

Chloe Marsh, school’s coordinator from Greener Henley, joined us and chaired the meeting, helping the children to think about how they can make a positive difference to the environment in school.

The Eco Councillors enthusiastically brainstormed a wide range of ideas, from reducing waste to encouraging greater biodiversity around the school grounds. Together, they began developing an action plan and are excited to share their ideas and lead environmental initiatives across the school in the coming months. It was a fantastic start, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make.

Our Eco Councillors this term are Hattie and Finn (Y2), Ezmae and Ella (Y3), Alice and Veronika (Y4), Genevieve and Millie (Y5), Tabby, Marcie and Lilian (Y6).

Mr Stefan Wuestner

Assistant Head (Head of Co-Curricular & Prep Boys) and Year 5 Teacher

I have always believed that some of the most important parts of school life happen beyond the pages of an exercise book, whether on the sports field, at a swimming gala, exploring the world outside or simply through a conversation when a child needs a little extra support. My teaching career has taken me from Surrey to Beijing and back again, before I joined Rupert House in 2022. As a class teacher and Head of Prep Boys I particularly enjoy getting to know the children as individuals and supporting them both academically and pastorally as they make their way through the school. For me, the great joy of teaching is seeing children discover what they are capable of and develop the confidence, independence and resilience that will stay with them long after they leave the classroom.
