I have always believed that some of the most important parts of school life happen beyond the pages of an exercise book, whether on the sports field, at a swimming gala, exploring the world outside or simply through a conversation when a child needs a little extra support. My teaching career has taken me from Surrey to Beijing and back again, before I joined Rupert House in 2022. As a class teacher and Head of Prep Boys I particularly enjoy getting to know the children as individuals and supporting them both academically and pastorally as they make their way through the school. For me, the great joy of teaching is seeing children discover what they are capable of and develop the confidence, independence and resilience that will stay with them long after they leave the classroom.
