St Piran’s U10 Girls Hockey Festival (16th Sept)

Our Year 5 girls enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of hockey at a festival involving teams from St Piran’s, Pipers Corner, Wellington Prep and Upton House.
With three Rupert House teams taking part, everyone had plenty of opportunities to play, develop their skills and enjoy representing the school.
During the afternoon, each team played five matches and produced some excellent hockey, recording many impressive performances against the visiting schools. One of the highlights was a fiercely contested fixture between two of our own Rupert House teams, which provided plenty of excitement and finished in a well-deserved draw!
As with all festivals of this kind, results and scores are not recorded. The focus is on participation, enjoyment and development, and it was wonderful to see the girls embracing these values throughout the afternoon. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and determination were evident in every match and ensured the festival was a great success.
Congratulations to our Players of the Festival: Sophie N, Heather S and Genevieve R, who were all recognised for their excellent effort, positive attitude and outstanding contributions across the afternoon.
Well done to all the girls for a superb festival and for representing Rupert House so brilliantly.
