Bradfield College U10 Boys Football Tournament (16th Sept)
Rupert House U10’s put in a fantastic team performance, showing great energy, determination and teamwork from the very first whistle.
The children worked hard for one another and created some excellent opportunities throughout the match. Although the final scoreline was not a true reflection of their efforts, the team can take plenty of positives from the game. The tournament also included a special ‘powerplay’ rule, where goals scored while the music was playing counted as two goals.
There was some excellent defending from Henry G, who worked tirelessly to keep the opposition under pressure. Harry C, Deeno D and Henry C all produced some great goalkeeping performances, making several important saves.
George BV played particularly well in midfield, distributing the ball confidently and bringing his teammates into the game. Oscar M and Quinn K worked hard on the wings, making some excellent runs and putting in some great crosses.
Up front, Deacon S showed real determination and was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions after creating some promising chances.
Overall, this was a very encouraging performance from Rupert House. The team showed a great attitude, worked hard for each other and demonstrated plenty of skill and potential.
