Musicians shine at Abingdon’s “Make a Noise” Orchestral Day
A group of our talented young musicians represented the school at Abingdon School’s Make a Noise Orchestral Day this week.
The students joined forces with more than 100 musicians from other schools to form a full symphony orchestra for the day. Under expert guidance, they worked hard to rehearse four exciting pieces, including the lively “Trepak” from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and the dramatic “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg.
After a day filled with teamwork, concentration and musical energy, the orchestra performed to an appreciative audience in the afternoon. The concert was a wonderful celebration of collaboration and talent, showcasing what can be achieved in just a single day of dedicated rehearsal.
