Year 1 had a truly fantastic day at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, packed with curiosity, excitement and hands-on learning.
The children took part in a rocket workshop where they designed and built their own aerodynamic rockets, applying their scientific thinking and problem-solving skills – and feeling justifiably proud of the impressive results.
The adventure continued with an unforgettable journey through space in the Planetarium, one of the largest in the UK. Here, the children learned all about stars, planets and the wonders of the universe, watching science come to life above them.
Throughout the day, the children enjoyed exploring the interactive exhibitions, getting hands-on with science and nature. It was a memorable visit that inspired curiosity, lively discussion and a real love of learning long after the journey home.
