Year 5 pupils tackle peer pressure in this week’s Happy Hub session

This week, a small group of Year 5 pupils took part in a thoughtful and engaging discussion on peer pressure during their session in the Happy Hub.
The children explored what peer pressure means, why it can be difficult to resist, and how it can influence the choices young people make.
Working through a series of real-life scenarios, the pupils shared ideas on how to recognise peer pressure and practised strategies to help them make positive, independent decisions. The conversation also linked closely with key British Values, including honesty, courage, and taking responsibility for one’s actions.
Mrs Sheriff, who led the session, praised the group for their maturity and insight, noting that she was “impressed by their sensible discussion” and the thoughtful contributions made throughout.
The Happy Hub continues to provide pupils with a safe, supportive space to discuss important topics that help build confidence and resilience both in and out of school.
