Year 6 visit Henley Regatta
Year 6 had a wonderful day out at the Regatta as part of our Leavers' Programme.
Erin Kennedy MBE very kindly gave them a tour of Leander Club, including showing them her Paralympic Gold medals, whilst they also enjoyed visiting the Stewards' Enclosure, where they saw the silverware, sat on the deckchairs, cheered on crews from Headington, Shiplake and Abingdon and learnt more about the traditions of Henley Royal Regatta.
Afterwards, they enjoyed a trip up to the start on a Hobbs River Taxi, watched the start of a number of races, and then gradually made their way by foot back up the start and then home to Rupert House, enjoying ice-creams and other delicious munchies on their way!
