Year 6 learn about financial literacy

As part of their Make £5 Grow project, Year 6 children enjoyed a panel discussion on 7th June from three visiting experts in the retail industry.

Panelists Frances Golvanoni, a freelance marketing consultant, Michelle Kneafsey, an experienced product merchandiser, and Will Hook, the Branch Manager of Waitrose here in Henley, gave presentations on a range of topics, including developing and launching a brand and line of products, mapping the market, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction, and maximizing customer engagement.

The event helped Year 6 children finalise their plans for the Make £5 Grow event in school next week (Thursday, 13th June), where they offer a product or service for sale to children across the school. A huge thanks to the three panelists for contributing their time and expertise to this event!
