Year 4 learn outdoors
Children in Year 4 spent a lovely morning at Forest School on Monday, 11th December, making full use of the school's outdoor learning facilities.
First, they worked in groups to rehearse and perform a winter-themed poem, adding actions and expression to bring the text to life.
Next, they settled into story time around the campfire where they read one of the final chapters in their class book this term, How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell.
Finally, the children toasted bread on the fire, before enjoying some time building dens and exploring the woodland.
Everyone returned to school just in time for lunch!
