Year 3’s adventure-filled residential trip

Year 3 had a fantastic time on their recent residential trip, packed full of adventure, teamwork and fun memories!
On arrival, the children were warmly welcomed by their PGL leader before heading straight to their first activity: aeroball — an exciting combination of trampolining and basketball that quickly got everyone bouncing with enthusiasm.
Next came the sensory trail, where the children were blindfolded and challenged to complete a variety of activities, games and obstacle courses. This required lots of trust in the people both in front of and behind them, making it a brilliant team-bonding experience.
After all that excitement, everyone enjoyed a yummy lunch in the canteen, followed by games, a runaround on the lawn and a special celebration with birthday cake for Annabel’s birthday!
The afternoon continued with micro scooting on the netball courts, which Mrs Pettifer thoroughly enjoyed too! Following a hearty supper, the children spent the evening making badges and sipping hot chocolate before finding their dorms for the night.
Staying overnight was incredibly exciting, and the bunk beds felt just like cosy cubby holes, adding to the sense of adventure.
Day 2 brought more challenges and achievements as the children learned to climb using an auto belay system and enjoyed several rounds of archery in the sunshine.
After much fun and many laughs, Year 3 returned to school tired but happy, with plenty of wonderful memories from a truly unforgettable trip.
