Year 3 PGL trip

On Monday 20th May, Year 3 went to PGL in Liddington to try some different outdoor adventurous activities.

It was an early start for all as the children arrived at school for 7am. After a quick trip to the toilet, we boarded the coach and started our journey. We arrived at PGL at 9:00am and had a quick snack before heading off to our first activities.

In the morning, the children had a go at Fencing and the Giant Swing. They showed great courage whilst on the Giant Swing and were all very proud when they finally got their feet back on the ground. During Fencing, the children learned some of the basic moves such as 'en garde' and 'hit and lunge' before taking part in a little tournament. The winners were even lucky enough to hold a real Fencing foil.

After lunch, the children took part in Aeroball (a trampoline-based throwing game) and attempted the climbing wall. The children once again demonstrated great courage along with a good deal of resilience to climb as high as they could before abseiling back down.

We are all really proud of all the children in year 3 who demonstrated so many of our school values and represented our school in such an excellent manner.
