Year 2 Discover the Magic of Stories in Oxford

Year 2 had an inspiring and imaginative day out in Oxford as they visited The Story Museum—an unforgettable experience that brought the power of storytelling to life.
The day began with a walk through the city’s picturesque grounds, where the children took time to sketch the historic surroundings, capturing the charm of Oxford through their own eyes.
Once at The Story Museum, the children explored its many magical spaces, including the Whispering Wood, where stories quite literally hung in the air, and the Enchanted Library, a place where books and imagination intertwined.
The day centred around the magic of storytelling through a portal, with children using freeze frames to pause at key moments, bringing each part of their story vividly to life.
The visit not only supported their learning but also deepened their appreciation for storytelling and creativity, key parts of both the curriculum and their own development as young learners.
