Rupert House storms to victory in the cross country
Our runners delivered an outstanding series of performances at the Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge three-race cross country championships, showcasing determination, teamwork and impressive athletic talent across the year groups.
The Year 4 events set a brilliant tone for the morning. Olive G stormed to first place in Saturday’s race, securing a superb second place overall for the series. The boys’ race was equally exciting, with Henry C finishing third on Saturday and claiming the top overall position across all three races. Close behind him, Percy F delivered a strong fifth-place finish on the day, earning an excellent second place overall.
In Year 5, the girls’ race was packed with skill and perseverance. Alice F ran a fantastic race to finish second on the day and take 2nd place overall, while Florence S claimed third place on Saturday and took the overall series victory for her age group.
The Year 6 girls continued the school’s success with an exceptional performance from Teddy M, who raced to first place on Saturday and secured the overall series win - an achievement that reflects superb consistency and effort.
These individual triumphs were matched by outstanding team results. The Year 4 girls, Year 4 boys and Year 6 boys all finished as team champions, contributing crucial points that helped secure the ultimate accolade: Rupert House once again being crowned the overall school winner of the entire cross country series!
Well done to all the runners who gave their all and represented Rupert House so brilliantly!
