Pupils win big in HYF Art Competition

A talented group of pupils from Years 3 to 6 are celebrating success after receiving prizes in this year’s HYF Art Competition.
The children impressed judges in both the age 7–11 individual and group categories, creating a fantastic range of imaginative 2D and 3D artwork based on the 2026 theme: “Amazing Animals.”
Many of the entries were created during school time as part of art lessons, where pupils were encouraged to let their creativity run wild. The theme inspired a wonderful variety of ideas, from a hand-crafted animal chess board to detailed farmyard scenes, as well as colourful paintings, drawings, collages and sculptures.
Entries were judged on imagination, creativity, innovation and interpretation of the theme, and were adjudicated by a professional artist.
We are incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part. Their enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to experiment with different materials really shone through!
The children have been invited to attend Henley Town Hall on Saturday 14th March to collect their prizes and all of the winning entries are on display at Henley Library, where visitors can see the amazing artwork up close.
