Year 4 outdoor adventures

At the start of May, Year 4 had a fantastic time at the PGL outdoors activity centre in Osmington Bay near Weymouth, on the Dorset south coast.

They stayed for three days (and two nights), enjoying a busy roster of activities, hearty food offerings, and even a few moments of sunshine on the final day!

The stand-out activity for many children was paddleboarding on the open water in Weymouth Bay, using top-notch facilities managed by the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy. After donning wetsuits and buoyancy aids, the children took to the sea, first on paddle boards around the quay and then in a fun swimming and jumping-in session!

Other activities included archery, zip-lining, Aeroball, climbing, and team-based problem solving. We finished the second day with a silent disco and ball games overlooking the sea.

The Year 4 teaching team are proud of every child in the year group for their resilience, maturity, and good sense of fun throughout the trip.
