Nursery and Reception shine on stage

Today our Nursery and Reception children took to the stage to perform their festive nativity play, Christmas Counts, to an excited audience of parents and family members.

From start to finish, the children amazed everyone with their confidence and enthusiasm, delivering their lines clearly and singing every song with joy.

The story of Christmas Counts follows a lively group of census-takers on the very first Christmas night in Bethlehem. Tasked with carrying out Caesar’s urgent decree to count everyone in the empire, they set off on a busy journey. Along the way they count the people of Bethlehem, meet the wise men and their camels, and almost drift off while counting sheep with the shepherds!

Just as the night grows quiet, a countless host of angels appears, bringing the wonderful news of Jesus’ birth. The shepherds hurry to the stable where they meet Mary, Joseph, and a very special baby. There they discover that Jesus’ birth shows how much God cares - and how Christmas truly counts for everyone.

The whole performance was a heart-warming reminder of the joy and meaning of Christmas, and we are incredibly proud of all the children - well done for putting on such a fantastic show!
