It has been a busy week in the Science lab!

It’s been an action-packed week in the Rupert House Science Lab, with pupils across the Prep School diving into exciting hands-on experiments and investigations.
Year 6 explored the components of blood by creating their own ‘blood models’, complete with red and white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Meanwhile, Year 5 took their learning outdoors to Forest School, using fruit to explore the scale of the solar system — discovering just how huge the planets would be if Earth were the size of a cherry tomato!
Year 4 got creative with sound as they built and tested string telephones, experimenting with how far they could make their voices travel.
The week ended on a high as a team of four Year 5 pupils represented Rupert House at the Bradfield Prep Schools’ Science Challenge. They tackled a series of challenging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics tasks - from investigating chemical reactions and studying maggots under microscopes to exploring sound waves - before enjoying a thrilling Whizz Pop Bang science show to round off the day.
