Happy birthday to us!

On Friday 24th May we celebrated our 100th birthday with the staff and children in a historical extravaganza of activities.

Robbie from Past Productions has delighted us all with his jousting and dancing workshops, we’ve been designing crests, aiming trebuchets and dancing around the Maypole.

Dressed as Prince Rupert of the Rhine, Robbie told the children and staff more about the man who gave our school its name back in the 1900s.

Everyone came to school dressed as a character from the 20th century and there were many incredible outfits. Well done to Claudia, Freya, George and Benjamin who won prizes for their efforts as Freda Carlo, Amelia Earhart, Steve Redgrave and David Bowie.

Mr Williams and Mr Blades won the staff prizes for their depictions of Freddie Mercury and Steve Irwin. Mr Blades got a special mention as he even took part in running club dressed in his outfit, together with an alligator!

We enjoyed a BBQ lunch followed by ice cream, before heading up to the school playing fields for the FoRH May Fair.
