Growing great friendships in the Happy Hub
In the Happy Hub this week, a small group of Year 4 children reflected on what makes them a good friend.
They shared qualities such as being inclusive, kind, supportive, funny, and helpful, and then created a “friendship flower,” writing each of their strengths on a petal. On the leaves, they added qualities they would like to develop, including being more inclusive, inviting others to join their play, speaking openly to friends after disagreements, and being more thoughtful. The activity showcased a wonderful growth mindset, with the children recognising that everyone can learn from their mistakes.
