Exploring worries and wellbeing in the Prep Happy Hub

In the Prep Happy Hub this week, a group of Year 3 and Year 4 children took part in a thoughtful wellbeing activity focused on returning to school after the holidays.

The children were encouraged to draw their worries inside a “Worry Jar”, helping them to express any concerns they had about adjusting to a new routine.

Through discussion, the children recognised that it is normal for everyone to feel a little worried when returning to school. They shared how expressing worries through creative activities or talking to a trusted adult can be helpful. The session concluded with a discussion about healthy strategies the children can use to manage their worries and support their emotional wellbeing.
