Finding out about food
On Wednesday 6th March we were visited by Georgia from Accent Catering who spoke to groups of children about food nutrition.
She talked to the children about the different food groups and tested their knowledge of them using a big colour wheel on the floor. The children chose replica food items from a bag to illustrate the separate areas which included carbohydrates, fruit & vegetables, protein, dairy and sugary foods.
She also talked about portion size and answered any questions the children had.
