Education Henley artwork

A number of local school Heads and pupils got together today to present the Mayor of Henley with the first piece of collaborative artwork by some of the local schools that make up Education Henley, the partnership between the schools in and immediately around the town.

The framed artwork, a collage portrait of King Charles, was created by pupils from Badgemore, Valley Road, St Mary’s, Shiplake Primary, Sacred Heart and Rupert House, to commemorate His coronation last year. The original will be displayed on the wall in the Town Hall and each of the schools which took part has been given a print.

Mayor, Kellie Hinton, kindly let the children try on her chain and showed them the Chamber where Council meetings take place.

We look forward to our next project as part of Education Henley.
