Braving the rain to raise funds for Children in Need

The Rupert House School community showed remarkable spirit and determination this morning as parents, staff, and pupils came together for a series of fundraising activities in support of Children in Need.

Despite the pouring rain, a dedicated group of parents and staff laced up their trainers to run or walk distances of 5, 10, or 25 kilometres, collectively surpassing an impressive 200km. Their efforts were boosted by a fantastic turnout at the school’s Running Club, where both parents and children, dressed in their most colourful 'silly sportswear', enthusiastically kicked off the kilometre count before the school day had even begun. The runners were officially sent off by Mayor Tom Buckley, adding a special touch to the wet, but energetic start.

Throughout the morning, Mr. Vigano and a team of enthusiastic Year 6 helpers organised a series of sporting challenges themed "Challenge Yourself to 25". Children took part in hockey, football, rugby, and netball activities, pushing themselves to meet a wide variety of personal challenges..

Thanks to generous sponsorship from families and friends, the school has already reached a “running” total of £1,450 raised online. The community is encouraged to continue sharing the JustGiving link to help raise as much as possible for the vital projects supported by Children in Need: Rupert House School is fundraising for BBC Children in Need

Rupert House extends its thanks to everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported the day’s events!
