Alumni reunion party

On Tuesday 5th July we held our first ever event for the younger members of the Rupert House Alumni.

Former pupils, who are now in Years 7 and 8 across a variety of senior schools, were invited back to Rupert House for a reunion party, held on the lawn within the school grounds. Many of the girls and boys have kept in touch over the past two years, but for those that had left prior to Year 6, it was wonderful to catch up with some familiar faces.

The school provided drinks and a BBQ for all, and the evening's entertainment was supplied by local DJ and entertainer, John Johnny, who had brought along a photobooth, and got the children mingling and dancing in no time at all.

The children wrote their favourite memories of Rupert House on a canvas. They ranged from residential and school trips to 'winning the football trophy' and 'playing cricket for the first time'. Ellie D said 'Every memory of an amazing time. Thank you for the experience'.

The evening was also a fantastic opportunity for former parents to meet up, reminisce, and enjoy some music, food and drink in the sunshine. Before long, everyone was dancing together under the marquee and if it hadn’t been a school night, the party would’ve continued much later into the evening!

We would like to thank everyone who came along and we look forward to organising our next Alumni event in the new school year.

The recently established Alumni group, known as 'Beyond the Big Blue Door' is rapidly growing in numbers and the school is excited to be re-engaging with former pupils and their families.
