Adventures at PGL Liddington

Year 3 arrived at school bright and early, full of excitement for their trip to Liddington on Monday 19th May.
Their adventure began on the coach and upon arrival, the children were warmly greeted by a guide named Skye, who led them to their meeting point and outlined the schedule for the day.
They then divided into three groups and set off to take part in their first activities: survival skills, abseiling, and archery. The survival session was both educational and enjoyable - the children learned how to use a knife to create wood shavings (feathers), build a small fire in a tin can, and construct a shelter using a tarp. After a short snack break, the groups rotated to the next activity.
Abseiling took place at the top of a tall tower. Once securely harnessed, each of the children took the brave step over the edge to descend. Their instructor, Zara, provided excellent support and reassurance throughout. We were particularly impressed by the confidence and determination shown by all the children.
At the archery range, everyone had the opportunity to test their aim and try for a bullseye!
The day concluded with the whole of Year 3 gathering at the zipline, where they each had a turn zooming down into the setting sun—a perfect end to a wonderful day.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at Liddington and the children are already looking forward to returning in Year 4!
