Mrs Jennie Breen

Head of Music and Performing Arts

I have been the Head of Music and Performing Arts at Rupert House School since September 2017. I studied Music at Sheffield University and completed my PGCE (Secondary Music) at the Royal Northern College of Music/Manchester Metropolitan University. I play the flute (DipABRSM) and the piano (Grade 8) and love to sing. I am so passionate about Music and Performing Arts and their place in education and I am very lucky to teach at Rupert House, where The Arts are an integral part of daily life.

I have always had a passion for Music and Performing Arts and loved playing the flute in local orchestras and ensembles whilst I was growing up. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and was lucky enough to do my PGCE at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

I love teaching at Rupert House because all the children are so creative and keen! We have some fantastic musicians and talented actors in the school and are lucky to be placed in the middle of Henley-on-Thames where we have access to some incredible performance venues.
