Year 6 visit to The Trenchard Museum

The Year 6 children enjoyed their visit to the Trenchard Museum on Tuesday 27th February.

The museum displays items that relate to the history of the Royal Force Halton. The children watched a short movie on the First World War and took part in different activities run by volunteers that involved understanding rationing, censoring letters, fixing a plane and understanding grenades.

The children even sampled corned beef and fitted their own puttee! Mr Armitage, Mrs Sheriff and Mr Blades were impressed by the children’s curiosity and engagement in all the activities.
