Year 4 study Jewish beliefs and traditions

This week, Year 4 wrapped up our Religious Education topic of Judaism, which we began in September.

In this topic, the children learned about different Jewish beliefs and traditions, including the customs of Jewish festivals as they are celebrated today around the world.

During our final lesson this week (pictured here), the children handled several objects associated with Jewish festivals, such as a Kiddush cup, a yarmulke or kippah (skullcup), a menorah (canelabra), a seder plate, a tallit (prayer shawl), and a Torah scroll.
