Year 1 explore Space
Year 1 had a BRILLIANT day at the Winchester Science Centre.
They started the day by visiting the planetarium and exploring all the planets and learning about constellations.
Did you know Uranus was going to be called George's Star?
The children then got stuck into all the exciting exhibits like one that measures velocity, another that sends vibrations and even climbed in a giant ear and guitar!
After lunch, there was so much fun to be had in the Explorer Space area, before finishing the day with a super rocket workshop where the children had to ensure their rocket was streamline.
Science is amazing!
