Artist of the Week

Each week, Mrs Poulter selects two pupils whose artwork has particularly stood out - whether for creativity, effort, or achievement: one from Prep and one from Pre-Prep.
Their work is then showcased on the hallway screen the following week for everyone to enjoy.
Remember, in art there is no right or wrong. Everyone is an artist - it’s all about discovering what inspires you.
PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Darcey C, Year 5, showed great care and a very steady hand to create this beautiful batik design for her bag. She used melted wax to draw her main image, before adding colour with fabric dye to create a rich background. Darcey then enhanced her design with fabric pens, resulting in a bold and eye‑catching final piece. Well done, Darcey!

PRE-PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
This week in Year 2, the children painted some pond scenes. Alby W added to his pond a fantastic movable duck inspired by the story of Jemima Puddleduck!
