Artist of the Week

Each week, Mrs Poulter selects two pupils whose artwork has particularly stood out - whether for creativity, effort, or achievement: one from Prep and one from Pre-Prep.
Their work is then showcased on the hallway screen the following week for everyone to enjoy.
Remember, in art there is no right or wrong. Everyone is an artist - it’s all about discovering what inspires you.
PRE PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
This week in Year 1, the children used oil pastels to create pictures on the theme of the rainforest.
Hettie’s toucan is so bright and colourful and the leaves in the background so detailed. Well done Hettie - what a wonderful piece of artwork!

PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Sarah, Year 3, has created a beautiful Impressionist painting of Henley Bridge and the River Thames. She carefully mixed her own shades using a selection of primary colours, showing a clear understanding of colour blending. Sarah then used a dabbing technique inspired by Monet himself, giving her painting a lively, textured effect that really captures the atmosphere of the scene.
