Artist of the Week
Each week, Mrs Poulter selects two pupils whose artwork has particularly stood out - whether for creativity, effort, or achievement: one from Prep and one from Pre-Prep.
Their work is then showcased on the hallway screen the following week for everyone to enjoy.
Remember, in art there is no right or wrong. Everyone is an artist - it’s all about discovering what inspires you.
PRE PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
This week in Reception, the children drew a self portrait which was then compared to how they had drawn themselves when they first started school in the Autumn Term last year. There were some wonderful creations, but this one by Lorimer really stood out. His drawing style has developed a huge amount in just a few months and his recent picture of him in school uniform with his big blue eyes is really wonderful!
PREP ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Percy, in Year 4, has used flowing lines with great care to capture the sense of movement in his koi carp drawing. By overlapping colours once they were dry, he has created a striking, vibrant effect that really makes the artwork come alive. Well done!
