Researching rivers
On Thursday 1st February, Year 3 visited The River and Rowing museum as part of their geography topic on Rivers.
The children spent the first half of the morning exploring some interactive activities and learning about the use of rivers, how springs are made and the importance of keeping our rivers clean. They then went for a beautiful walk along the river where we spotted features of a river.
After lunch, they explored the interactive galleries in the museum, learning about Henley-on-Thames and rowing. They even got to see some ichthyosaur fossils!
Finally, the children walked around the Wind in the Willows exhibit, which links to their current learning in English. What a fantastic day!
