Burns night bonanza
Today marks the 264th birthday of the poet, Robert Burns. At Rupert House we celebrated with a special Burns Night lunch menu.
We had...
- Cock-a-leekie soup – this was very popular
- Lorne sausages – these were very well received
- Orange cranachon – this sold out!
- Queen mary’s orange and lemon shortbread – this was a sell-out too!
Head chef, Barry, wore a kilt for the occasion and the staff donned tartan hats!
We carried out a tasting of the lorne sausage for all the pupils with 90% saying it was great. They even asked for it go on the termly lunch menu!
