Year 6 story books

Year 6 have spent the past few weeks, planning, writing and illustrating their own story books aimed at younger children.

In our lessons we have been learning about target audiences, morals and themes, and learning how to use an electronic book creator to make our ideas come to life. We also discussed how best to read a story to younger children in an engaging way.

On Friday 26th April, Year 6 made their way down to Reception to share the story books they had been working on with the younger children. They read their stories to the children beautifully and the Reception children were so enthusiastic, asking questions and admiring the beautiful illustrations the Year 6 children had created.

Fun was had by all, and it was so wonderful to see the children interacting with each other so respectfully.
