Welcome to our website. Rupert House Preparatory School, a happy, thriving, day school set in the heart of Henley, has been serving the local community for over seventy years. It is very much part of the town with the vast majority of pupils coming from either Henley itself or from within a five mile radius.

We look forward to welcoming you through our blue front door where you will experience the warmth, peace and friendliness that define Rupert House. We will be happy to show you around our school where you will be able to see at first hand that pupils at Rupert House School are truly given “the confidence to fly”.

OUR LATEST NEWS

YEAR 4 VISIT THE SYNAGOGUE
	On Friday 13th January Year 4 visited the Maidenhead Synagogue. We saw the beautiful Torahs and learnt how they are written on special parchment and who writes them. We learnt about the food Jewish people can eat and the food that they are not allowed to eat. We learnt a great deal more too. A big thank you to Mrs Aldingham, Mrs Nall and Mrs King for accompanying us. Jan 2012
YEAR 5 VISIT THE MOSQUE
	On Thursday 12 January the Year 5’s had the opportunity to visit the Maidenhead Mosque, as part of their Religious Studies. It was wonderful to see all the different parts of the Mosque that we have learned about. The imam gave us a talk about what Islam is all about and the girls asked well informed questions. We learned lots of additional facts about the Muslim faith, and could consolidate the work that we covered in the autumn term. Jan 2012
YEAR 3 WALK AROUND HENLEY AND VISIT TO LITTLE NELLIE'S
	On Friday 25 November, Year 3 had a wonderful walk through our beautiful town as part of our Geography topic. We looked at some of the significant buildings, what the reason for their position is and what they are used for now. The girls then went to Little Nellie’s Sweet Shop as part of our Maths lesson, where they weighed out their own sweets and used money. Dec 2011
SHOW YOUR SPOTS, LET'S RAISE LOTS!
	As the slogan for Children in Need this year was ‘ Show your spots, let’s raise lots’ everyone came to school wearing spots on Friday. We had a special assembly to remember some of the children helped by the charity and then everyone decorated a wristband with spots. A great day was had by all and we raised £394 for a very worthwhile cause. Nov 2011
