Rupert House hits the slopes

On the 23rd of March, 19 children from years 5 and 6 met Ms Nicholson, Miss Findlay, Miss Gibbon and Mr Wuestner at Gatwick airport ready to depart on the ski trip!

We had a speedy flight and coach journey to the town of Sauze d’Oulx, Italy where we stayed for the week.

We all had a fantastic time exploring the resort with two beautiful days of sunshine to help us get into the swing of skiing before three days of snowfall which made for the best conditions.

The children loved zooming through the soft powder, flying over jumps and whizzing past trees (and the teachers)! They had 5 hours of ski school each day and, as a result, all of them improved so much.

We also had a jam-packed Après timetable with a quiz night, karaoke, talent show and, of course, birthday celebrations for Othello who turned 10 on the trip. There was also a lot of hot chocolate drinking throughout the week!

Before we knew it, the week was up and it was time to fly home. It was a fantastic trip with lots of fun memories made which the children shared with the rest of the school in assembly this week!

We're already looking forward to the next Rupert House ski trip!
