The strong sense of community is one of the aspects of Rupert House most commented upon by visitors and most appreciated by our current parents.
We are very much a family school and welcome all members of the family through our doors.
Strong bonds of friendship develop amongst the pupils, between parents and noticeably amongst staff of all ages. Girls and boys develop a secure group of local friends to fall back on, wherever their senior school education takes them.
Parties and varied social events are organised both by the School and by the Friends of Rupert House. The Friends of Rupert House is an active and supportive group of parents committed to supporting the school in all aspects of its work.
Rupert House maintains strong links with the local Henley community and recognises its responsibility to those in need of help. Our children are taught the importance of showing generosity to others in many different ways.
We have recently supported The Henley Food Bank; The Felix Project; Hearing Dogs for Deaf People; MacMillan and Breast Cancer Research. Rupert House also supports the national Children in Need and Sport Relief initiatives on an annual basis.
Our Chamber Choir also gives annual Christmas Carol Concerts to the residents of Sotwell House, and sang in the Chiltern End Residential Home during Dementia Awareness week.
