What is the average number of children in a class at Rupert House?

Currently, our maximum class size in Reception is 20. However, the average number of pupils per class across the school is 14.

How often do pupils play sport at Rupert House?

Every morning, every class does a 15 minute exercise session as part of our 'Move to Think' initiative which is designed to link the body and mind to benefit our children both academically, behaviourally and physically.

PE and games lessons are timetabled 3 out of 5 days for the pre prep children and 4 days in the prep. We also offer extra-curricular sports sessions for all year groups from Reception to Year 6 on a daily basis. There are plenty of clubs to choose from including rugby, football, athletics, tennis, running, dance, hockey, netball and lacrosse.

What sports facilities do you have at Rupert House?

We may be a town school, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have extensive grounds and fantastic facilities. On site we have an all-weather pitch where the pupils play a number of sports. In addition to this, we have our own playing fields, a pavilion and forest school a short walk along the Fairmile. We also have fantastic links and relationships with sports clubs across Henley and make frequent use of their facilities. These include Henley Cricket Club, Henley Rugby Club, Henley Leisure Centre, The EYOT Centre and Trinity Pool.

What time does the school day finish?

Nursery to Reception finish at 3.30pm, Years 3-6 finish at 3.45pm. There are many after school club options which extend the school day. Most clubs finish between 4.30-4.45pm. Homework club for years 3-6 finishes at 5pm and aftercare for Reception to Year 2 finishes at 5.15pm.
