Harvest Festival

We celebrated Harvest this week with a special service at St Mary’s Church, Henley, which took place today, Friday 15th October.

The Service, opened by Father Jeremy, began with ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’, sung by all the Rupert House children, together with the rest of the congregation.  Pupils gave readings and sang harvest songs.  The School were especially delighted that Jakob from NOMAD was able to join them to explain more about how the charity works and how the important Harvest donations would provide vital help to local families who might need a little additional support at this time and in the run-up to Christmas.

Nick Armitage said:  “Helping our community is central to our ethos at Rupert House.  Our children realise how very fortunate they are and, when presented with an opportunity to help, are always ready and willing.  This has certainly been reflected in large number of beautifully decorated boxes which have been filling our hallway behind the Big Blue Door this week, and I would like to thank all our families for their generosity in helping to support this very important local cause.”
