The Great School Run – Sunday 30 April

After the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, The Great School Run is back, with registration now open and places going fast as schools, families and friends have started to sign up to this year’s event taking place once again at Stonor Park on Sunday 30 April in aid of Sue Ryder.

With races for all age categories, each race is free to enter, with The Great School Run welcoming all children between the ages of 3 and 16 (and their parents) to join in the fun running through the stunning Stonor deer park by kind permission of Lord and Lady Camoys.

Now in its second year, and backed by Education Henley, the event was created with just two key objectives in mind - to help keep children running beyond the winter cross country season and to bring together the local school communities for an event that is free to enter and open to all - children, friends, families and teachers alike, with ‘grown ups’ races for the adults too.

In the true spirit of community and making a difference in the world, the option of a suggested £2 voluntary donation per race is available at registration stage to help raise funds for the valuable work of Sue Ryder, a charity that provides palliative care and is close to so many people’s hearts.

This truly inclusive event welcomes and invites all local schools and nurseries to get involved - with event posters, registration details and more information available online at www.thegreatschoolrun.org
