Year 6 visit the Old Fire Station Gallery

Year 6 visited the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley on Friday 3rd March, where they attended the ‘RBC Arts Showcase’.

The children had the opportunity to see an impressive range of artwork created by students from pupils at Reading Blue Coat School. They also took part in an interactive workshop run by the school’s heads of Art and Drama, Mr Devin Möller and Mrs Liz Harvey.

After a hilarious session of improvisation, the children worked collaboratively to illustrate the story they had invented. The children used a huge variety of skills during the hour, including communication, listening, turn-taking and collaboration. Most importantly, great fun was had by all!
