The Story Museum

Year 2 visited the Story Museum as part of their Authors and Illustrators topic this term.

We had the most fantastic day, which started with storytelling in the theatre, followed by a trip to the Whispering Wood where we discovered trees who told stories, King Arthur’s sword and a wishing tree. We were then led to the Enchanted Library where we escaped through the wardrobe to visit Narnia, joined Horrid Henry’s Purple Hand Gang, took a trip down Alice’s rabbit hole and saw parallel worlds with Philip Pullman’s Subtle Knife.

After lunch our story leader took us on a walking tour of Oxford to see the lamppost that inspired C.S. Lewis and ending up at a stone circle to crown our very own Kings and Queens of Narnia.

We had the most incredible day that fired our imaginations and lifted the spirits.
