The Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Armitage as Head of Rupert House from September 2020. Nick will be replacing Clare Lynas, who is retiring at the end of the Summer term, after seven years at the helm.
In making the appointment, the Governors were looking for someone to continue to build upon the current success that Rupert House has enjoyed (in January this year, Rupert House received the highest possible rating by the Independent Schools Inspectorate), with the ability to take the school forward into its next chapter, as a fully co-educational school for children aged 3 to 11.
Charles Lowe, Chair of the Board of Governors, said: “We are very fortunate to have secured Nick’s services as we strengthen our co-educational offering, with boys now able to learn alongside the girls up to the end of year six. He was our unanimous choice.”
Unfortunately, due to the current heath and safety restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus, Nick has not been able to come into the school ahead of the new school year to meet the pupils. So, we asked the pupils what they would like to know about their new Head. From favourite books to favourite pizza toppings, you too can find out more about him here...
Rupert House is a happy and high-achieving school, where learning is exciting and engaging every day. We will hold our next open event in the Autumn Term. In the meantime, if you would like to see a recording of our most recent July Open Morning, which included an introduction form the Head, an informative Q&A session and a virtual tour, please register here to receive the link, or email us to find out more.
