We currently have two choirs: the Upper School choir and chamber choir.
All the children in Years 4, 5 and 6 belong to the choir. There are no entry requirements. We meet weekly and learn music in 2-part harmony.
Chamber choir is by audition only. This is a choir for those pupils of above average vocal ability who are also able musically. Chamber choir music is of a higher level and pupils are expected to sing in 3-part harmony, often unaccompanied.
Performance opportunities for both choirs arise throughout the year, at the annual Harvest Festival at St Mary’s Church, Christmas carol concerts, music assemblies and the Upper School concert. Parents are invited to join us on these occasions. Both choirs perform material from a wide range of musical genres.
