Introduction

At Rupert House School we consider sports and outdoor education to be very important. The outdoor environment offers pupils the opportunity to engage in a range of activities outside the classroom which enhances and supports the learning taking place in the classroom.

In addition the physical development of pupils is equally important. Pupils from the very first stage of the Nursery are given plenty of opportunities to develop their co-ordination and skills using a variety of equipment.

Our ‘sport for all’ philosophy focuses on the belief that all sport should be played by all pupils for their pleasure and enjoyment. As pupils progress through Rupert House the opportunities to represent the school in Inter School matches and tournaments become more numerous. In addition all pupils in Years 3 – 6 represent their houses in Inter House sporting competitions.

The extra curricular sports clubs are very popular and take place most evenings.
