Science in the Rupert House laboratory ...

According to the National Curriculum, Science ‘stimulates and excites pupils’ curiosity about phenomena and events in the world around them’. We at Rupert House have the same ethos. Children are encouraged to work as young scientists and are given opportunities to carry out investigations based on real life situations using scientific apparatus in a purpose built Laboratory.

Outside the laboratory ...

Whenever possible, lessons are held in the ‘outdoor classroom’ so that children can carry out field work and hone their observational skills. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that the children are aware of their environment and the need to look after it for future generations.

School trips are arranged to venues that compliment and extend what has been taught.
