Homework

Homework is an essential part of pupils’ learning at Rupert House. It allows pupils to establish good habits at the beginning of their academic career. It can also involve parents in a practical way in their children’s education.

The type of homework set at Rupert House varies according to the age of the pupil and the subject. In general we set homework which:

  • consolidates work currently being covered in class;
  • involves practising basic skills;
  • involves preparation for the following lesson;
  • involves learning
  • encourages and extends pupils investigational skills.

A consistent requirement is that throughout their school life pupils are expected to read each day.

Please note, this is an example only. For current timetables please see Parents section.
